The recent launch of Professor Victor Grech’s latest coffee table books was a remarkable event, not just for its literary significance but also for the philanthropic causes it supports. As the director of the RE/MAX & Friends Malta Foundation, I am proud to be deeply involved in this initiative, which aligns with our ongoing mission to make a positive impact in our community.
The event celebrated the debut of two exquisite coffee table books authored by Professor Grech. These works, titled Kaleidoscope and Stories and Ballads, promise to be a treasure trove of art, culture, and history. More importantly, they will support two vital Maltese NGOs: Save and Support Trust and Beating Hearts Malta. The launch took place at FIMBank plc, with several distinguished guests in attendance, including John C. Grech, the chairperson of FIMBank, and author Grech.
Kaleidoscope offers a deep dive into the multifaceted life and contributions of Richard England, a renowned architect, writer, artist, and academic. Stories and Ballads by Nicholas de Piro brings together a rich collection of writings, personal collections, and insights into Casa Rocca Piccola in Valletta. This book showcases the legacy of Marquis Nicholas de Piro, a revered author, art historian, and poet.
Speaking at the event, Professor Grech emphasized the honour of sharing the incredible stories and contributions of such distinguished individuals. He remarked that these books stand as testaments to the enduring legacies and rich cultural heritage of Malta. The journey to getting to know these individuals was one that he cherished deeply.
For us at the RE/MAX & Friends Malta Foundation, this event holds special significance. Our sponsorship of this initiative reflects our commitment to supporting the arts and cultural preservation in Malta. It also underscores our dedication to helping NGOs that work tirelessly for the betterment of our community. Being part of this event and witnessing the unveiling of such culturally significant works was a humbling experience. It reaffirmed our belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of giving back.
Our foundation, in partnership with other sponsors like ENEMED, V&C Contractors, Xuereb Installations, St. James Group, ESS, APS Bank, Ensign Ltd, ANFRA, Bad Boys, Global Capital, Casa Rooms, JS Dimech, and Mazars, has always strived to support causes that resonate with our values. We believe that by working together, we can help preserve Malta’s rich cultural heritage and continue to support those in need.
This event is a reminder of the profound impact that art, culture, and philanthropy can have when they come together. As we look forward to more opportunities to serve our community, I am deeply grateful for the chance to contribute to such meaningful initiatives.
